Thank you to everyone who supported this year's August BBQ/Pig Roast either with a raffle prize or by coming along to enjoy the evening.

This was the best August BBQ yet and it certainly seemed to help having the event on a Saturday and starting earlier in order to allow families to attend. All the children that came were well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Having them there seemed to make the evening less formal and more sociable. Even the weather was kind to us despite a downpour in the early afternoon.

For those that did not come, you missed a great night! The food was better than ever, the liquid refreshments flowed freely and the fireworks over the lake were wonderful.  We had a lot of new faces there too – either friends of members or new people who were considering being members.

Our Chair, Tim Small and his team, deserve the biggest praise for providing the wonderful venue and running the evening. Thanks to everyone.
