You’re never too young to become an entrepreneur and that is certainly true of the speaker for our upcoming Inspire Me session.

Our Inspire Me slots always feature a businessman or woman with an interesting story, and on February 18 young tech entrepreneur Scott Hiett will be in the spotlight.

Scott is just 16 and has been programming since the age of seven. He is a software developer who “wants to change the world through code” and he’s already been featured in Forbes as ‘the Next Generation of Computer Science’.

After building an AI led, foreign currency exchange app in just 48 hours and also winning a hackathon, he is channelling his experience of AI and Blockchain into the dynamic world of esports, by working part-time as a platform engineer at Edge. He’s also a pupil at Marling School in Stroud.

So do come along to Scott’s talk, from 4-5pm and be inspired!

We stage regular events and workshops at Cirencester Growth Hub, all free for Gloucestershire business. On January 16, we have our monthly Graze networking session, where two local food and drink companies – this month, wine merchant Vinotopia and Jessie Smith butchers – bring some samples and talk about their businesses.

If you are just starting back to work in 2020, and want some support in your business or have the germ of a business idea and are looking for help, why not pop into Cirencester Growth Hub and chat to one of our experienced Business Navigators.

Cirencester Growth Hub, by the Royal Agricultural University, is part of the Gloucestershire Growth Hub network and supports developing businesses. As well as our events and workshops, we offer co-working space, available on a pay-as-you-go or membership basis, and meeting room hire.
