Allison Murray of Allison Murray Design has recently redesigned the new identity for Jenners Barn, a beautiful bespoke wedding and events venue in Kempsford, which is due to officially re-launch in September.
The redesign was commissioned by the Macintosh family, who have owned Great Farm together with its Cotswold stone barn for many years, but are now taking back the running of this magnificent venue. The main clients are likely to be couples, families, businesses and individuals who want a lovely Cotswolds country venue that they can tailor to their own requirements and not follow restrictive set formats. With the unfortunate cancellations of so many weddings at the moment due to the Coronavirus, the Macintosh family realised they had an opportunity to re-brand now and get the venue out to couples and families in readiness for next year’s wedding season.
“We thoroughly enjoyed working with Allison on our new branding for Jenners Barn” said Leonie Macintosh. “She was full of wonderful ideas right from the start. She quickly gained a good understanding of our business and was able to use this information to produce a logo which perfectly reflected our ethos.” The branding was influenced by the beautiful water meadows that the barn sits near, combined with the feel of confetti and fireworks through the illustration style of the cow parsley.
Allison Murray Design’s previous identity work includes Oxleaze Barn, Thyme at Southrop branding and Allison explained: “It is really important to get under the skin of what the client is after and capture what is unique and different about their venues and then bring this to life through the branding”.
Allison continued: “I strongly believe that visual identity and branding has never been more important than at this time with people being stuck at home, not able to visit places. The only clear communication that defines or creates a point of difference is the branding, so it’s important to get it right. Those clients that seize the opportunity now to get on and get their house in order will be the ones to reap the benefits when this lockdown time is over.”
