Lechlade Craft Barn has a double celebration in August. Owners Jennie Turner-Maskell and Karen Holland have announced the business has earned the Visit England’s ‘We’re Good To Go’ certification.
The prestigious accreditation demonstrates the Craft Barn will be adhering to COVID-19 public health guidelines and meeting the required processes to re-start craft workshops.
“We will be holding workshops in Lechlade Memorial Hall until the foreseeable future” says Jennie. “The hall complex gives additional space to adhere to distancing guidelines and run workshops as safely as possible. Crafting has seen a huge surge in popularity during lockdown as people have sought new activities to do at home. There is high demand to learn new skills.”
The wide range of craft workshops begin again in August with subjects including mosaic making, needle felting, lampshade making, block printing, embroidery and more. New family workshops will take place during October half-term for children 11 and over.
The Craft Barn has been running for 6 years and would normally celebrate with an open day. “We’ll be marking our birthday in a slightly different way this year” says co-owner Karen, “with an online competition via our Facebook page and newsletter.”
