New team at Macaroni Woods

Following the retirement of Richard and Liz Wilkinson from Noah’s Ark Children’s Venture at Macaroni Woods near Eastleach, the new team of Mark and Marcus have been working hard trying to build on the legacy left by Richard and Liz and thus help enable thousands more people to come and enjoy the woods.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Venture is a registered charity offering well-equipped low cost residential accommodation in a peaceful rural setting for a wide range of organisations such as youth clubs, schools, colleges, community groups and support groups working with children, young people and adults.

Mark and Marcus have been beavering away down in the Sports Hall/classroom complex to improve onsite facilities and activities. There is now a fully functioning cinema room complete with enough bean bags to seat 40 people. They have also introduced a karaoke machine and numerous musical instruments – a must for the wannabe musicians out there.

In Castree house, there has been an upgrade to the living room with a new giant U-shaped sofa, new TV and new pictures on the walls, making it look more modern and a great place to chill out in.

More new beds have been added to existing bedrooms in both Bazley and Castree houses giving a grand total of 51 beds – an increase of 9 extra beds.
